& the beat goes on.......

Following Neal’s triumphant sold-out show taking Splash Point Jazz to Ronnie Scott’s last month, the fun continues to build in Sussex…
And it all gets major coverage in Sussex Jazz Mag this month  http://www.sussexjazzmag.com/?page_id=12

And here are the upcoming gigs:

BRIGHTON
Fans of the jazz trombone are in for a real treat in July – head on down to SPJC Brighton at the Master Mariner in Brighton each Thursday, for a month long trombone-fest (with a sneaky sax thrown in for good measure!)
Heres the special guest line-up for July:
7th: Winston Rollins - trombone
14th: Mark Bassey - trombone
21st: Dave Lewis – tenor sax, although we should note that he HAS PLAYED with trombonists. Many times.
28th: Jeff Williams – trombone & vocals
The Master Mariner, Brighton Marina, BN25WD. Thursdays at 8.30pm. Free entry.

SEAFORD
Meanwhile, Seaford SPJC now has a baby grand piano! (Many thanks to our local sponsors*).  Julys guest Mike Piggott brought the (club)house down with his virtuosic violin playing.
August should ensure a similar response when our special guest is tenor saxman Denys Baptiste, hailed by UK sax legend Courtney Pine as one of the strongest tenor saxophonists this country has ever produced.
Don`t  say we didn`t  warn you...
The View, Seaford Head Golf Club, Southdown Road, Seaford, BN25 4JS. 1st Sunday of each month at 4pm. Entry £5, kids free.
