How to make a claim

Making a claim on your policy held through Reid Briggs

If you are unfortunate to have to make a claim, we will do all we can to assist you through the process, and depending on the type of policy, these are the first steps to take to notify a new claim to your insurer.

Motor policy

For Fault & Non Fault Motor Claims - please call MAPS claims helpline on 0845 260 9926 who can arrange a courtesy vehicle (in the event of a non-fault accident) if this is required.

Household policy

Please refer to your insurance policy booklet for the insurers claims telephone number which will include an out of hours contact number, or call our personal lines team who are available between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday on 01323 438843 or email info@reidbriggs.co.uk

Travel policy

Legal Expenses policy

If you have a potential legal claim whether for personal liability under your household policy or business liability on your commercial insurance, you should call your legal insurers first, as they often provide a legal helpline as part of the cover, and if a claim is likely to progress, your insurer may have an in-house solicitor they will use to defend your case, or an increased excess may apply if do not use this supplier. Call us on 01323 438843 or email info@reidbriggs.co.uk if you cannot find the contact number you require.
